Berlin/Hamburg, October 6, 2022. Opposite the historic St. Nicolai memorial, Hamburg's most modern safe deposit box facility is currently under construction. Following the openings in Berlin and Munich, Trisor is now also establishing a location in Hamburg with 24/7 access in the city center at Hopfenmarkt. Last Thursday, the massive steel vault, which took three weeks to install, was christened. This behemoth, made from 15-centimeter-thick steel-reinforced concrete with special alarm systems, weighs over 100 tons when empty. After completing the complex security technology installation, the opening is planned for January 2023.
Reservations for the safe deposit boxes are already being accepted via the company's website. From January, tenants will have access to their safe deposit boxes without appointment or adherence to opening hours. A three-factor authentication system consisting of fingerprint, PIN, and chip card ensures the security of valuables. A sophisticated tech infrastructure with crypto encryption protects access data. The fully automated retrieval of the safe deposit boxes to private booths is handled by robotics. The site is secured inside and out by VdS-certified security personnel.

Starting in January, Hamburg residents can securely store papers, cash, physical assets, or keepsakes in one of the 5,600 safe deposit boxes from this independent provider, accessible around the clock. "The location at Hopfenmarkt is perfect for our vault rooms," says Dr. Justus Westerburg, Managing Director of Trisor GmbH. "We couldn't have wished for a better location and neighborhood for our fourth store. The construction is progressing in large stages, and we are all very excited about the grand opening.

Mobile Power Supply Ensures Access Even During Blackouts
Autonomous access to one's valuables in a safe deposit box – around the clock. To ensure Trisor can keep this promise even if Hamburg's power grid reaches its limits in the autumn and winter, causing potential power outages, the company has prepared a mobile power supply via a backup generator. Housed in a robust yet spacious Mercedes transporter, the powerful generator ensures that even in the extreme case of a blackout, the digitally controlled vault system continues to operate, allowing customers unrestricted access to their safe deposit boxes. "This setup secures operations for many days, if not weeks," emphasizes Justus Westerburg.
