Security redefined

At Trisor, we take a holistic approach to security.

Certified vault architecture, multi-level access control, and automated processes integrate seamlessly. This creates a security concept that goes beyond traditional banking solutions.

The new benchmark

Many people ask themselves:

How secure is a safe deposit box?

The security of a safe deposit box is not defined by solid construction alone. What truly matters is the interplay of architecture, security zones, clearly defined protection processes, and intelligent access control.

At Trisor, security was conceived from the very beginning as an independent high-security concept – with the ambition not only to protect assets reliably, but also to ensure they remain accessible at all times in a controlled manner.

Our locations combine architecture, technology, and clearly structured security processes into a sophisticated, integrated system.

This makes one thing clear: not all safe deposit boxes are the same – what truly matters is the security concept behind them.

Architecture built to withstand

Certified according to EN 1143-1: Our vaults achieve resistance grade X (Grade 10) – one of the highest independently tested security ratings in Europe.

Operational security on site

In addition to structural standards, we secure our locations 24 hours a day, seven days a week through professional operational measures:

Trained security personnel from certified providers at every location

Modern camera and alarm technology on site

Connection to a VdS-certified control center with direct intervention access in case of suspicion

This creates a security concept that is unique among Germany’s safe deposit box providers.

No human weak link

Structural security is the foundation. Yet before any attack on the vault structure even occurs, other, less complex vulnerabilities are often exploited – particularly the human factor.

Structural security is the foundation – yet the human factor is often the first point of attack.

What is the human factor?

Traditional safe deposit box systems often rely on key-based models and staff access to the vault core. This creates potential risks:

In traditional systems, even a lost or shared key can enable uncontrolled access. At Trisor, a single access credential is ineffective – every access is tied to a documented 3-factor authentication, including biometric identification.

Where staff or customers have access to the vault core, there is always the fundamental possibility of unintended or unauthorized viewing of safe deposit boxes. At Trisor, the vault core is not accessible to employees or clients – this structural attack surface is eliminated. The private access cabins at our locations ensure discretion during box retrieval.

When individuals have direct access to the vault, an inherent insider risk arises. At Trisor, every box retrieval is individually authenticated and system-controlled – unrestricted access by employees is not possible.

Where employees have direct access to valuable areas, they can become targets of attack. Since no Trisor employee can open the vault or remove individual safe deposit boxes, there is no leverage for coercion.

These vulnerabilities are not theoretical. In recent years, traditional safe deposit box systems in banks have repeatedly been the target of successful break-ins.

Multi-level access control

Access to your safe deposit box is granted through a 3-factor authentication:

Card
Card

(Possession)

PIN
PIN

(Knowledge)

Biometrics
Biometrics

(Fingerprint/hand scan)

The decisive difference:

A biometric characteristic cannot be transferred, copied, or shared.

Only when all three elements are combined is access granted. This combination reduces risks such as:

Skimming (unauthorized card duplication)

Misused access credentials

This structurally prevents an isolated security incident from resulting in full access.

Asset protection with a system

Especially when storing precious metals such as gold or silver, the question arises:

Security also means being prepared for an emergency.

Does the insurance reflect the current value?

Can insurance sums be adjusted when necessary?

At Trisor, insurance solutions are structured transparently and aligned with the actual value of your assets.

How systems differ

Not every safe deposit box follows the same security logic.

What matters is:

structural certification and the resistance grade

the separation of staff and vault core

multi-level access control

transparent rules on insurance and liability

clear contract structures and flexible adjustment options

Bank safe deposit boxes are often integrated into existing banking infrastructure. Modern safe deposit box systems, by contrast, are planned and implemented as independent high-security facilities.

Frequently asked questions about security at Trisor

Trisor combines certified high-security vault architecture, 3-factor authentication, and a strict separation of staff and vault core. This structurally distinguishes the system from traditional bank safe deposit boxes.

Insurance sums are transparently regulated and can be aligned with the actual value, such as gold holdings.

EN 1143-1 is a European standard for testing vaults. Trisor meets resistance grade X (Grade 10) – one of the highest security levels accessible to civilians.

The vault facilities are certified according to EN 1143-1 and are complemented by a professional security service. Structural and operational security work hand in hand.

Box retrieval is automated in a discreet cabin. Employees have no access to the vault core.

Access is granted only via card, PIN, and biometric feature. Only the interaction of all three factors enables entry.
